Stephen Picek, and co-authored with Tony Guerrero, in the Downers Grove, Illinois Office presented “Reporting to State Regulatory Agencies: A Case Study in Communication, Data Management, and Data Reporting” at the 6th International Conference for Environmental Data Management in Portland, Oregon.
Daniel J Lombardi, P.G. presented “Comparison of LNAPL Transmissivity Derived from Baildown Tests and Recovery-Based Methods” at the 22nd International Petroleum Environmental Conference in Denver, Colorado.
SMA installed an Electrical Resistive Heating (ERH) System and a Soil Vapor Extraction System at a Former Bulk Storage Facility in Madison, Indiana. To date, over 5,000 pounds of contaminants have been removed from the subsurface. The primary constituents have been TCE, PCE and non-chlorinated chemicals (BETX), with smaller amounts of the PCE and TCE biodegraded constituents.
